Nelson’s Outdoor Resort
Nelson’s Outdoor Resort, formerly known as Nelson’s Fish Camp, has been a Central Florida camping and fishing destination since the 1950′s. I wasn’t around in those days, but these days it makes a great Central Florida camping and fishing destination.
Gator Joes Beach Bar & Grill
Gator Joe was a 15 ft 7 in long alligator that lived in Lake Weir in the early 1900′s. Gator Joes Beach Bar and Grill has been a local favorite since 1926. With its own private beach and dock, you can drive over in your vehicle, float over in your boat, or fly over in your water land-able plane. Marion County Florida’s only Key West style Beach Bar and Grill. This is by far one of the best local favorites on Lake Weir.
Alfies Restaurant
In 1969 Bud and Betty Evans pursued their dream of opening a small sandwich shop. They wanted to give their customers good food, plenty to eat, and a fair price. As the years went by and the kids grew, Alfie’s did too! They are located on 25 just before Ocklawaha. Stop by and grab yourself a fantastic burger for lunch!
Carney Island
Carney Island provides numerous activities and fun for the whole family! This local favorite hot spot has been well taken care of and is a great place to have fun and relax. They offer a beautiful swimming beach, nature trail, multiple boat ramps, a playground, barbeque grills, and much more. Carney Island is located at the end of 115th Ave right off of County Road 25.
Hope Park
Hope Park provides a public boat ramp for members of the community to launch their boats and other watersport vehicles into beautiful Lake Weir.
Hampton Beach
Hampton Beach is a local public swim beach located just past Ocklawaha on County Road 25. There is no public boat access at this beach.
Fat Daddys
Fat Daddys is a local bar in Summerfield with great food and sometimes Live Music and events. A good local hot spot for anyone looking to get a cool refreshment after a long day in the sun on the water.

Willoughby Park
Willoughby Park is in Summerfield right off of near the S curves around Little Lake Weir. It has great scenery, picnic tables, wildlife sightseeing, and great fishing. Stop by and check it out for yourself.
